Thais Lindemayer Gomes

Thais chose Tangi as her second home after transferring to Southeastern to pole vault for the Lions. Born and raised in the south of Brazil, Thais is completing her master's in Health & Kinesiology this December. Her career goal is to help people to achieve their dreams. Whether assisting students adapting to college life or promoting health in communities, she wants to leave each place better than she found it.

Thais is very involved on campus and in the community and has received recognitions such as the 2022 Southeastern Outstanding Woman of the Year Award and the Women Mean Business Scholarship in 2023 and 2024. She is also the creator of Bikes Without Borders, a scholarship that awards bikes to SLU international students. She looks forward to taking her next steps after graduation and using her experience and knowledge to make a difference in other people's lives.
